& Treatment
Solar Damage occurs when skin is chronically exposed to Ultraviolet rays. This damage is most common on the face, hands and arms but can occur anywhere there has been exposure. This damage can lead to sun spots, wrinkles, blotchiness, age spots, and rough reddened skin. Chronic exposure can lead to Skin cancer and premature aging. Prevention is the best treatment to avoid further damage. The use of sun protection, such as sunscreen and protective clothing is imperative. When Solar Damage has already occurred, there are multiple therapeutic modalities available. They include but are not limited to skin procedures like:
- Microdermabrasion
- Botox
- Chemical Peels
- Applications of Creams with Anti-Aging properties
