Dr. Vogel was an amateur Alabaster Sculptor in University and later an amateur Silversmith. Consequently, molding in three dimensions for patients is a natural fit for him. Juvederm Ultra Plus XC is a smooth-consistency gel that is infused with lidocaine to improve comfort during the procedure. With aging, skin loses structure and volume, creating facial folds. Juvederm Ultra Plus XC is dermal filler that replaces that lost volume by smoothing away facial wrinkles and folds. The goal is to effect a natural appearance that is both “fuller” and more youthful. The areas where Juvederm Ultra Plus XC achieves the most significant results are the Nasolabial Lines (“laugh lines”) and other facial wrinkles such as the “marionette-lines” below the corners of the mouth.
Expectations and Results
Since every patient is unique, a consultation with Dr. Vogel will reveal what that patient wants to achieve. A customized treatment plan is important for achieving the best results. There are even two formulations of Juvederm Ultra Plus XC that allow their use to contour and volumize facial wrinkles and folds as well as to correct deeper folds and wrinkles. Results of the procedure are visible immediately and continue to improve for some time after treatment. Bruising and swelling can occur and are discussed beforehand with Dr. Vogel.
