What is PRESCRIBEDsolutions?
PRESCRIBEDsolutions is an innovative line of high-performance cosmeceutical products containing state-of-the-art active ingredients – many of which are unique to the line. These products, available in physicians’ offices only, can be customized by the physician to address individual patient skin care needs.
How is PRESCRIBEDsolutions different?
PRESCRIBEDsolutions is different from other cosmeceutical lines because it can be customized, in a matter of seconds, in the physician’s office with special condition-specific “boosters” to address 10 different patients’ specific concerns, such as:
Fine lines and wrinkles
How does the PRESCRIBEDsolutions system work?
Customization Step 1: Examine and Recommend
The physician or aesthetician examines the patient and determines the patient’s basic skincare needs. Generally, it’s three or four products, consisting of a cleanser, an anti-aging serum and a moisturizer. They then determine the patient’s special needs, e.g. does the patient need acne control or additional anti-oxidant protection? Would the patient’s skin benefit from additional hydration? Does she suffer from rosacea? Are there visible signs on the patient’s skin of the progressive depletion of estrogen due to menopause?
Customization Step 2: Boost
According to the patient’s needs, the physician then chooses which of the boosters should be added to each product. For example, if the patient is concerned about hyperpigmentation (brown discolorations of the skin), the doctor might recommend the base product Lightening Serum to correct existing discoloration, and would “boost” the product with an anti-oxidant booster to prevent its reoccurrence. The boosters are in liquid form and are packaged in pre-measured, individual doses. To customize the base product, the assistant pours the appropriate booster into the base product and then blends the two by shaking or stirring. Every booster is compatible with all of the base products in pH and viscosity.
Customization Step 3: Present
The assistant then affixes a customization label to each product, pre-printed with the physician’s name and telephone number. The patient leaves with a skin care product that has been customized just for her/his needs and has benefited from the physician’s expertise.
